A GLOBAL TEAM
OF NATIVE EARS
ALL HANDS IN!
At Qualtranscribe, we turn spoken moments into data you can actually use. Not just words on a page, but transcripts that capture tone, hesitation, sarcasm, the laugh before the breakthrough, the pause that says everything. We work with researchers, businesses, legal teams, podcasters, and anyone who needs human speech decoded with human precision.
We're a global team of linguists who believe every accent, dialect, and tin-can recording deserves to be understood. We catch the things algorithms miss: cultural subtext, emotional fingerprints, the sarcasm that flips meaning, the pauses that reveal doubt. Transcription isn't typing. It's listening with intention
Since 2016, we've grown from wrestling 200-hour oral histories to supporting projects across continents and languages. We stay small, fast, and obsessively focused on one thing: clarity. Because every voice, no matter where it's recorded or how it sounds, deserves to be heard accurately.

How We Got Here
(Headphones On)
2018: Static, Chaos, and Heroic Patience
Researchers used landlines, flip phones, and recording apps that looked like they were coded during a lunch break. We wrestled static, drops, and mystery noises with endless optimism. Those years forged our ability to find meaning in chaos.
2021: Borders Gone, Voices Everywhere
Interviewing Sara in Barcelona became as easy as calling next door. Multilingual demand surged; our global team expanded with native linguists who understood dialects, rhythm, and cultural subtext. We learned global research isn’t words, it’s personality, identity, and intention
2026: Small Team, Global Power, Human‑Centered Future
We remain intentionally small, fast, and human. With global linguistic expertise and upcoming features to serve you even better, we transcribe interviews, focus groups, and conversations that shape your work. Every voice deserves clarity, and we're here to deliver it, headphones ready!
2016: A Small, Sharp Team Learning to Hear the World
Started with the energy of a startup and the budget of a student film, basically a garage band with headphones. Our first challenge? 200+ hours for Gone Home: Race and Roots Through Appalachia. Nuance became our north star. Thank you, Dr. Karida Brown!
2020: Remote Everything, Humanity Included
COVID turned interviews into Zoom squares, surprise pets, and endless “You’re on mute.” Researchers needed transcripts capturing tone, emotion, and remote‑life exhaustion. We doubled down on human listening, crafting transcripts that captured tone, emotion, and meaning that automated tools consistently missed
2022–2024: AI Boom Meets Human Ears
AI arrived loudly, promising instant everything, but humans kept the nuance, sarcasm, and emotional fingerprints, especially in AM-radio-quality audio.. Remote interviewing became the norm, expanding voices and reach. Insight traveled farther, and we listened with the same care, minus the jet lag
